On the Water

These roles are at the heart of the organization and what make it happen week in and week out.

  • Companion sailor

    Experienced sailors who can ride along with our adaptive sailor, ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

  • Dock support

    Individuals who help transfer sailors into the boats, prepare the boats, and land our boats safely.

  • Chase Boat Operators

    Experienced motorboatists who can monitor sailboats in the Harbor from our powered skiff.

  • Maintenance Crew

    Skilled volunteers who repair, restore, and maintain our fleet. They keep everything in top shape.

Outreach Roles

Getting the word out matters! Help us fill the boats with more sailors than ever.

  • Media and Marketing
    Help share our story through photos, articles, and outreach. Create materials that inspire new volunteers and donors to get involved.
  • Representation at Events
    Be an ambassador for our program at local events and community gatherings, connecting with people who want to learn more or join in.
  • Social Media and Videos
    Support our online presence by creating engaging posts, videos, and updates that highlight our sailors, volunteers, and community impact.

    Work with our team to identify funding opportunities, draft proposals, and help sustain our mission through creative fundraising.

Operational Roles

  • Volunteer Support and Hospitality
    Coordinate volunteer communication, help plan events, and make sure everyone feels welcome and appreciated.
  • Financial Management
    Assist with bookkeeping, budgeting, and stewardship of the resources that keep our organization afloat.
  • Information Technology
    Help build and maintain our digital tools, from managing web pages to developing software that supports our operations.
  • Training and Safety Support
    Develop and share training materials, track participation, and ensure everyone has the knowledge and resources to stay safe on and off the water.
  • Scholarship Committee
    Help review applications and award scholarships that make participation accessible to everyone, regardless of financial need.
