Challenged Sailors San Diego has partnered with Lands' End Business Outfitters to offer a variety of clothing and other accessories with the Challenged Sailors logo for your purchase.
Challenged Sailors San Diego is an entirely volunteer supported program.
We need volunteers to help out in a variety of capacities, including:
- Companion sailors
- Dock support
(no experience required)
- Boat maintenance
- ASL Interpreters
- Back office support
- Fund raising and public relations
We have a fleet of eight Martin 16 sailboats specifically designed for adaptive sailing. Our primary sailing days (when we need companion sailors and dock support) are Fridays and Saturdays at 12 noon, but we sometimes schedule another day on request if sufficient volunteers are available.
We require all volunteers and participants to fill out and sign an information and waiver form. You should be able to download it from here, fill it out, possibly electronically sign depending on your PDF viewer, save and email it to info@challengedsailors.org at least a week in advance of the date you'd like to come. (If necessary, print, fill out, and scan the completed form or take pics of each page with a cell phone).
