Ready for a different type of Martin 16 Race? Get prepared, Martin 16 sailors, novice and experienced alike. April 11 & 12 will be the fourth Dash to Chula Vista.
Starting from near Harbor Island at noon, race one will finish at the Chula Vista Yacht Club, on Saturday April 11 - where a welcoming party will be waiting for you. Then, leave the Martin 16s behind and return home to rest.
The next day April 12, return to Chula Vista YC for the start of race two from Chula Vista YC to the finish line near Harbor Island. Following the completion of the race on Sunday there will be reception and awards presentation at the Sunroad Marina pavillon.
The Dash to Chula Vista is a great opportunity to experience a distance race from the North Bay to the South Bay (approximately 8 nautical miles) and back and learn much more about sailing a Martin 16. This will be a fun event for everyone: sailors, volunteers, family members and friends.
We need of a number of volunteers to make this a successful event, both on the days of the regatta and before.
Among our volunteer needs are companion sailors, dock support, lift transport, help with the raffle & silent auction, party & reception, fund raising, photography, transporting sailors from one end of course to the other and more.
Send an email to Scheduler@challengedsailors.org if you are able to help in any of these areas.
